- Our old Supra 500XP was set up to power down the drive after 5 minutes
- with no drive access to save heat/power. Also, on a hot summer day,
- sometimes the drive would start to lose power occasionally until we put
- a 3-inch fan directly on the A500's power supply.
-
- Could be either one of those things. Does the drive spin back up when
- you access it? If so, it's probably the former. Try typing in a CLI/Shell:
- suprapdown
- and see what response you get. If it is running, it should tell you
- how many minutes of no drive access will cause the power-down. To get rid
- of the program, type: suprapdown 0 0 (that's two zeros separated by spaces).
